You just knew Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling wouldn't be able to get through the entire Bound for Glory (BFG) Series without running into a problem or two.
And now that's happened.
According to the Wrestling Observer, D'Angelo Dinero suffered a legitimate shoulder injury that will keep him out of action for the next several months. Apparently, the reason he was attacked by the Aces and Eights at the Hardcore Justice pay-per-view (PPV) was to cover up for it in order to keep him out of his scheduled Falls Count Anywhere match that also included Rob Van Dam, Mr. Anderson and Magnus.
As for how this affects the BFG Series, well, it's not much. The latest standings update had The Pope in 11th place out of 12 with just seven points after eight matches.
That does mean, however, he still has three matches left. How TNA chooses to handle this should be interesting considering everything up to this point has gone without a hitch. This year, they came into the Series having planned it all in advance to avoid having it break down into a convoluted mess like last year.
But did they make a plan to account for a possible injury? We shall see.
