After all the talk, it appears to have been done.
Alex Shelley left TNA to search for more opportunities in the land of professional wrestling. According to Spanish wrestling site SuperLuchas.net, it seems that Shelley has hit the proverbial promised land and signed with WWE. Here is a loose translation of what the report has to say:
A few months ago we reported in the exluchador Exclusive TNA, Alex Shelley, was in talks with WWE to join their ranks, apparently wanting to enter directly to Main Roster of the company.
Today, August 17, EXCLUSIVE may report that the young Patrick Martin 29-year-old has signed a contract with the WWE and in the coming weeks will confirm their future.
Shelley could be a fun little addition to the WWE roster, but that all depends on how the WWE wants to handle him. He could be thrown into developmental, but he knows the "American" style of pro wrestling really well and that would seem a bit unnecessary.
Nothing else has been close to being confirmed so they may just be another case of "wrestling newz sites gonna wrestling newz site."
But if the report is true, how do you Cagesiders feel about this apparent signing of the former Motor City Machine Gun?
