The Rock advances to Final Four in Cageside Seats Pro Wrestling Tournament ... and so does Undertaker!

Stay connected for news and updates

The Rock and Undertaker are spent after such a long, hard-fought battle.

It happened, folks. We had a tie.

The Rock and Undertaker came into their match looking even on paper as a one and two seed and their battle reflected as much. "The Deadman" got out to an early lead but "The Great One" made his comeback. It went down to the wire, with the two exchanging finishers and both kicking out at the last minute. The crowd (you lovely Cagesiders) went wild all throughout. Click here and read the bottom of this thread if you don't believe me.

Ultimately, the demon from Death Valley hit a Tombstone and crossed Rock's arms for the deciding pinfall ... or so we thought.

As it turned out, the initial tally was off by just one vote. And it just so happened that vote was for "The Brahma Bull." After double and triple checking, the two reached the finish line having tied at 111 votes a piece.

Dusty finish!!!

This was all documented on a special edition of Cageside Live as we followed along with a few of you night owls to the thrilling conclusion. You can listen to that by clicking here and read the ensuing threads here and here. It was absolutely bonkers.

To add to it, there was no plan in place to decide a tie. Frankly, I never thought in a million years it would happen. But now that it has, this tournament has taken a turn to the bizarre, the exciting, and the unpredictable.

This pro wrestling tournament has gone, well, pro wrestling.

That's because the decision was made to advance both men. That's right, folks, both The Rock and Undertaker will advance to the Final Four Five, where they will meet Stone Cold Steve Austin in a triple threat match. On the line is a spot in the Finals opposite the winner of the Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Savage match.

It just fits.

After the jump, check out the vote tally list. Later today, we'll have a review podcast for you to listen to in addition to the spur of the moment live podcast done last night.
