According to PWInsider, WWE has signed a new Superstar in the making and he has joined the WWE NXT roster going by the name Memo Montenegro.
He is also known as son of Dos Caras and Alberto Del Rio's little brother.
With Rey Mysterio a bad landing away from his 94th knee surgery and Sin Cara not gaining any traction in his year and a half long stint with WWE due to injuries, Wellness Policy violation spurred suspensions and overall mediocre matches, Vince McMahon and company need to ensure their Mexican fanbase has characters they can root for and relate to.
This is why Del Rio has been continuously near the top of the card for over a year now and why his abysmal program with World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus is continuing.
This new hiring may also have something to do with rumors Del Rio is despondent in WWE and looking to head back home sooner or later. Hiring one's brother would definitely serve to assuage some unhappiness the second generation Superstar is feeling.
Regardless of the reason, Montenegro -- real name Guillermo Rodríguez -- is currently listed on the NXT roster page alongside the likes of Kassius Ohno, Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt so expect his television debut in the near future.
Will he find as much success as his older brother?
