WWE will continue giving away what used to be pay-per-view (PPV) dark matches for free when it rolls into the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, on Sun., Aug. 19, 2012, for Summerslam.
And I think you Cagesiders are going to like who they've got lined up for the live streaming free pre-show.
Internet darling Antonio Cesaro will challenge Santino Marella for his United States Championship. And considering the opposite directions the two have been going for a while now, this would seem to be as good a time as any to finally get the belt off the comedy act and put it on a more serious performer who is receiving a (somewhat) legitimate push.
Our friend Arda Ocal wondered recently if Cesaro won't win the U.S. title and immediately rechristen it the European championship, which would make sense with his character arc. I don't think it's a bad idea, but I also don't think it's going to suddenly make the mid-card interesting again.
Still, Cesaro is a talented guy and a push for him is a win for all of us. Or do you Cagesiders disagree?
