After making a joke about Kobe Bryant's rape allegation from 2003 two weeks ago on Raw, A.W. was fired last week by WWE for the comment, setting the former Superstar on a giant Twitter tirade.
It seems people don't like being fired.
But with him now out of the picture, the focus shifts to two men still on WWE's roster.
Titus O'Neil and Darren Young, collectively known as The Prime Time Players made their first A.W.-less appearance yesterday on Raw and no mention was made of their former manager. While O'Neil is entertaining on the microphone, he and his partner could still benefit by someone who is more experienced on the stick.
But they might not get a replacement.
According to The Wrestling Observer:
Vince McMahon is said to be against using managers, but many feel that it will change and that the team will get paired up with a new manager soon.
Managers have been few and far between since their heyday of Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart, Sherri Martel and of course, the one and only Miss Elizabeth.
But Vickie Guerrero has been keeping managers alive and well into the 2010s and it looked like with A.W., the tide may have turned permanently.
Unfortunately, his dismissal may have soured McMahon on the entire idea.
So Cagesiders, are there any other men or women out there -- in WWE or otherwise -- with the gift of gab who could fill the former Abraham Washington's shoes?
