We're not just pro wrestling fans here at CagesideSeats.com, we're also big time football fans. And because we like to be so interactive with the community, we thought it would be a good idea to start up a fantasy football league.
So that's exactly what we're doing.
The league will be run through Yahoo! with the default scoring settings. Essentially, if you've ever played Fantasy Football, you'll know the drill. We'll have a live online draft on Thurs., Aug. 30 at 9 p.m. ET. If you are unavailable at that time, you'll have to pre-rank your players and the system will draft accordingly.
But that's not as much fun, so make sure that time is available!
The league will consist of 12 teams. With my partner Sergio Hernandez and myself taking up two of them, that leaves 10 spots left. Ideally, we want 10 guys (or gals) who are genuinely interested in playing and will actually bother to keep up with the league all throughout the year. That means making sure to set your roster and participating when we throw up threads on Sunday (and there will be threads on Sundays, folks).
Now the hard part. How do we determine who gets in and who is left out? I'm not entirely sure but this is an open thread for all you Cagesiders who want in to make your best case. Why should we choose you to be in this league?
Let us know in the comments section and we'll choose the 10 lucky teams before it's off to the races and the countdown to the draft begins.
Just bring it!
