TNA Impact Wrestling returns to pay-per-view tomorrow (August 12) with their 2012 offering of Hardcore Justice, an event typically hosting several types of hardcore bouts likes ladder matches, tables matches and the like.
This year is no different.
The hardcore aspect is represented in three four-way bouts, each with 20 points in the Bound for Glory Series on the line. The three matches range from meh to amazing but all should provide some nice, jaw-dropping moments.
Every singles title is on the title as well with Zema Ion taking on Kenny King, Madison Rayne challenging Miss Tessmacher and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Austin Aries rematching with his Destination X opponent Bobby Roode.
With only No Surrender separating us from Bound for Glory, things are really starting to heat up at the Impact Zone.
What I expect will happen tomorrow night is after the jump.
Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez vs. Gunner and Kid Kash - This match is better suited for a YouTube pre-show and shouldn't take up time on a PPV which could be better used on the main event or one of the Bound for Glory Series matches.
I can understand TNA wanting to showcase Guerrero, their latest WWE castoff signing but it's not like he was a giant star up north. He's got name recognition sure but his signing didn't turn the wrestling world upside down.
Plus the more free stuff I can get, the better.
Women's Knockout Championship match: Miss Tessmacher (c) vs. Madison Rayne - With Rayne using her womanly charms on Earl Hebner and picking up cheap wins as a result, I would expect the former Beautiful People member to walk away with the gold tonight.
Tessmacher should chase Rayne through Bound for Glory and finally get vengeance on her by either turning Hebner from the dark side or overcoming his shenanigans to win anyway.
Because everyone loves a happy ending.
X Division Championship match: Zema Ion (c) vs. Kenny King - The rebuilding of the X Division continues. I hope King doesn't wrest the title away from Ion as he's really coming into his own as the young, arrogant champion.
Whatever the result, however, this match should be fantastic.
Falls Count Anywhere Match for 20 points in the Bound for Glory Series standings: D'Angelo Dinero vs. Magnus vs. Mr. Anderson vs. Rob Van Dam - Can they somehow all lose?
Tables match for 20 points in the Bound for Glory Series standings: James Storm vs. Bully Ray vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Robbie E - I'm picking Robbie E as the dark horse.
Ha, just kidding.
Storm will -- and should -- win this to solidify his top spot in the Bound for Glory series leading up to a giant blowoff match with Bobby Roode in Phoenix.
Ladder match for 20 points in the Bound for Glory Series standings: A.J. Styles vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle - Hummina hummina hummina. If Kate Upton were a wrestling match, she'd probably be this four-way ladder match.
Styles, Daniel and Joe are no stranger to each other having wrestled in three-way dances before but when you throw Angle and ladders into the mix, you get a Match of the Year in the making. This bout alone makes this event a must buy.
As I wrote earlier, I wholeheartedly feel Storm is going to win the whole shebang, the winner of this match won't matter too much but I feel "The Olympic Hero" will come out on top.
No Rematch World Heavyweight Championship match: Austin Aries (c) vs. Bobby Roode - The stipulation either wrestler will be denied a rematch is a bit weird considering there's still one show between now and Bound for Glory where Roode will presumably get his comeuppance at the hands of his former partner James Storm.
I would have figured they would stretch out this feud until next month's No Surrender but alas, it appears as if it'll end tomorrow night.
Or will it?
Hopefully this won't be the last time "A Double" and Roode step inside the ring together but with little time before TNA heads to Phoenix, I can't imagine the former Beer Money member won't be leaving the Impact Zone without the strap.
What say you, Cagesiders? Am I more Nostradamus or more Miss Cleo?
