Over the course of the past month or so, WWE has been bringing back "legends" from times past, former wrestlers who spent considerable time with the company and had prominent roles with the promotion. They've all done rather well for themselves, too, with only a few looking too old and run down to be in the ring.
Even Sycho Sid didn't look too terrible lumbering around beating on Heath Slater.
One man apparently impressed WWE enough to potentially be called back to work another match, though -- Bad Ass Billy Gunn. This according to the latest edition of Figure Four Weekly:
The company was pleased with Billy Gunn and his interactions with Shawn Michaels last week on Raw so there is a feeling that he'll get at least one match, and perhaps the Outlaws will get a tag match as well.
Gunn returned as a former member of D-Generation X at the 1,000th episode of Monday Night Raw and was good in his role playing off Michaels. He also appears to be in pretty good shape. Actually, it doesn't really look like he's aged much at all. The same can be said for Road Dogg, who already works behind the curtain as an agent.
Oh, and for those who trashed X-Pac for his appearance, WWE noticed too. Don't expect him back anytime soon.
The New Age Outlaws reuniting for a brief run to help put over a tag team like the Primetime Players sounds doable, especially if WWE is serious about putting together a legitimate tag team division. And while Gunn may have done a lot of shooting on Triple H in years past, it appears that's all water under the bridge now.
You Cagesiders down for more Mr. Ass in your life?
