The S3 Turns Up the Heat for Week Ending July 8: YOUR Vote and Last Week's Results

Thes3_lg_wbsm_medium_medium

As good old JR would say, BAI GAWD it's hot!

Welcome to the Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) for the week ending July 8. Can anyone cool off AJ? Which side of the incendiary TNA debate are YOU on, and how 'bout the smoking end to that pay-per-view (PPV)? Who's on fire heading into Money in the Bank?

Here at the S3, YOUR Vote tells us who YOU think was the most impressive performer in pro wrestling last week. Those votes count toward our annual Performer of the Year. What are YOU waiting for? Vote in the poll and check out the Standings.

Remember, the poll is for the previous week - RAW from July 2nd, the Great American Bash Smackdown that aired Tuesday the 3rd (and Friday the 6th), the July 5th Impact and TNA's Destination X PPV.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

And it's not even close.

AJ wins her fourth week in a row, and is within a few more wins of the top spot in the annual Standings. And this before she had an episode of RAW largely dedicated to her story and character! The bizarro world push of Tyson Kidd earns him a high spot debut. YOU welcomed a returning Y2J back with a finish in the fave five, while the rest of the top ten consists of familiar names.

The S3 - Week Ending July 1

1. AJ Lee
2. Tyson Kidd
3. Dolph Ziggler
4. Chris Jericho
5. Daniel Bryan
6. Damien Sandow
7. Austin Aries
8. (tie) CM Punk
8. (tie) Heath Slater
10. Christian

The WWE Champ and #1 challenger continue their dance atop the cumulative chart, but the special guest referee for their match this Sunday and Dolph Ziggler are charging hard. And then there's their fellow RoH alum and new TNA Champ lurking at number five. The remainder of the yearly S3 remains remarkable static - YOU're loyal to certain wrestlers week-in and week-out, while support for others varies greatly week-to-week. 39 different people have placed in the S3 so far this year, with many more than that receiving votes.

The S3 Performer of the Year - through the Week Ending July 1

1. CM Punk - 83 points
2. Daniel Bryan - 82
3. AJ Lee - 59.5
4. Dolph Ziggler - 52.5
5. Austin Aries - 43.5
6. Bobby Roode - 38
7. Chris Jericho - 34
8. Brock Lesnar - 26.5
9. (tie) John Laurinaitis - 25.5
9. (tie) Sheamus- 25.5

We love to hear YOUR comments about who YOU voted for and why. Remember to also use the comments to write-in a Vote for anyone YOU think we incorrectly left off the poll. Stay cool Smarks, and we'll see YOU next week.
