Royal Rhombus? That's what the fans in Manhattan got back in May when CHIKARA invaded the Big Apple with Aniversario: The Ogg and I.
Four three-man teams competed in the bout -- The Batiri, The Spectral Envoy, The Swarm and the team of Tim Donst, Jakob Hammermeier and Delirious -- with lucha libre rules. Essentially, if a competitor spills to the outside, that's as good as a tag and someone new can hop in. It makes for some fun, fast-paced action.
That match along with an 10-man tag team match from the night before -- Aniversario: A Horse of Another Color -- are highlighted in this week's installment of the Podcast-A-Go-Go.
GEKIDO seems to have been put in their place lately but during the first half of 2012, they were quite a thorn in CHIKARA's side. So much so that a team consisting of The Wrestle Factory's first graduating students -- UltraMantis Black, Hallowicked, Icarus and the returning Mister ZERO and Dragonfly -- put aside their differences to combat 17, The Shard, assailANT, combatANT and deviANT.
For more CHIKARA action, check out this past weekend's results right here.
Enjoy the video, Cagesiders.
