Court Bauer's shady wrestling past

I've received several emails in recent months about former WWE writer Court Bauer. First let me say, i've heard Bauer on wrestling podcasts and the guy seems to have a good mind for the business. However, I can't help but think that his shady wrestling past overshadows anything he did while in World Wrestling Entertainment.

In recent days it's been brought to my attention that Court Bauer has been posting on his own wikipedia page trying to get credentials added to his resume.

Some of the things (folks, I wish I was making this up) include:

- Bauer is an entertainment executive.

- Bauer worked on several films.

- Bauer is an executive for CBE, whatever that is. I could not find anything on CBE online.

- Bauer cited a Variety article that makes zero mention of him.

- Bauer makes attempts to remove references to WGO Properties on his wiki page.

What exactly is WGO Properties? Well, thats a funny story. Back in 2004 MLW shut down. Shortly afterwards he attempted to start a new wrestling company. That company was H2Wrestling. He co-founded the company with Teddy Hart. The company never held a show. Bauer at the time claimed that Gabe Sapolsky and Ring of Honor tried to sabotage him. He even sent out email transcripts to a couple of websites. I know, very unprofessional and very dirtbaggy if you ask me. Yes, I made that word up.

So, where is WGO Properties? Well, no one could find records of the company. Bauer claims that WGO Properties is an Asian Entertainment company. No records existed then and no records exist now for that company. Call me crazy but it sure looks like Bauer decided to make up WGO Properties as a way to bail out of another project. Wrestling websites at the time even speculated on that as well.

I don't know what Bauer is trying to pull now other than I do see that he has MLW.com running again. It's been running at least for the last year and a half. I suspect that he's trying to get some investors on board to back his new "digital project" or whatever it is he has going on with MLW. I do have one question though. If Court Bauer sold MLW to WGO Properties and, as he said in 2004 statements, was pushed into a corner by WGO, then what is he doing with MLW now? He's all over the podcasts most of his interviews mention his new MLW digital project. Perhaps is it because Bauer never really sold MLW? I'd say so. Perhaps there was no WGO Properties? Uh huh.

So, I'd suggest to anyone associated with Bauer to be careful, watch your back, and just remember that just like he bailed on several wrestlers in 2004, he can do it again this time.

That's it from me. Until next time folks.
