CHIKARA invaded New England this weekend for a doubleshot of shows and of course, Cageside has you covered with the results.

Last night saw The Great Escape while tonight hosted Give 'em the Axe, which ended JUST MINUTES AGO.

Each show was headlined by a title bout with The Great Escape seeing Eddie Kingston defend his Grand Championship against "The Queen of Wrestling" Sara Del Rey and Give 'em the Axe seeing The Young Bucks defend their Campeonatos de Parejas against the challenge of The Throwbacks.

All this plus the final two Young Lions Cup X qualifiers and the returns of Frightmare and Sugar Dunkerton?

Sounds good to me.

The Great Escape

The show opened with Green Ant getting a measure of revenge on assailANT by forcing The Swarm member to tap out. In the Young Lions Cup X qualifier, Anthony Stone survived Kobald, Jiving Jimmy and Cameron Matthews to advance in the tournament. I thought Kobald was a shoe-in for sure.

Ophidian ruined Frightmare's return by making The Spectral Envoy member submit. Delirious made his presence known in the middle of the match, supporting the villainous viper.

A newcomer by the name of The Handsome Stranger defeated Icarus with a legdrop off the top rope. I don't know who this mysterious man is but I can't help but also wonder where Archibald Peck is these days?

3.0 and Akuma defeated The Swarm represented by deviANT, combatANT and ::sniff:: Soldier Ant. Damn you, CHIKARAmetrics. At least The Colony member refused to help out this enemies and left the match.

The Batiri defeated Tim Donst and Jakoc Hammermeier -- can you even call them BDK anymore? -- and Sugar Dunkerton got a nice win over The Shard. Hmm, all of GEKIDO lost. Interesting.

Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw, Hallowicked and UltraMantis Black defeated The Heart Throbs and The Young Bucks.

And in the main event, Eddie Kingston retained his Grand Championship against the challenge of Sara Del Rey.

Give 'em the Axe

In a King of Trios preview, The Swarm consisting of deviANT, assailANT and ::sniff:: Soldier Ant took on The Spectral Envoy. Frightmare picked up the pin over deviANT.

Ophidian picked up his second win of the weekend with a victory over Sugar Dunkerton and The Handsome Stranger defeats The Shard with his patented legdrop off the top rope. Who is that mysterious man?! And where is Archibald Peck?!

Former tag teams 3.0 partnered up with Akuma to take on The Batiri and won by DQ after Ophidian and Delirious interfered on the Bled Island natives' behalf. And somehow, that jerk punk jerk Icarus got one over on "The Queen of Wrestling" Sara Del Rey. Boo.

Jakob Hammermeier defeated Jigsaw and Los Ice Creams (~!!!) beat Green Ant and Steve "The Turtle" Weiner (?) who replaced Marty Jannetty.

In the last Young Lions Cup X qualifier, MAH BOY from Anarchy Championship Wrestling (ACW) ACH becomes the final entrant in the tournament. Woo!

And the main event saw The Young Bucks successfully defend their Campeonatos de Parejas against The Throwbacks.
