Word is coming from 1Wrestling.com Dave "Fit" Finlay has been welcomed back into the WWE fold after being fired early last year.

Finlay was let go after an incident at a house show involving The Miz drew the ire of the National Guard.

During a stop in Champaign, Illinois, the former Real World and Tough Enough castmember interrupted the Star Spangled Banner to cut a rulebreaker promo on Randy Orton, who he was slated to face.

It was all part of The Miz's title run leading into to WrestleMania 27 where the brash and arrogant pretty boy got one over on the tried and true champion, John Cena.

The National Guard was not impressed.

They got understandably upset over this cheap heat tactic and Finlay, who was acting as the road agent or producer in charge of the show was made to be the scapegoat and given the axe.

Since then, Finlay has kept busy on the independent scene specifically with Dragon Gate USA sister promotion, EVOLVE, and Ring of Honor (ROH).

He took on Sami Callihan at EVOLVE 9 and rematched him two events later while taking on Jon Davis in between. During his stint with ROH, he unsuccessfully challenge Roderick Strong for the World TV title and also lost out to Michael Elgin.

Now it seems he will take up his old position as a producer/road agent to help the next generation of Superstars get to the next level.

Is this a good move by WWE, Cagesiders?
