In keeping with its objective to bring back a famous legend of times past in the weeks leading up to World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) historic 1,000th episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE trotted out former champion Bob Backlund to be the latest legend to crush Heath Slater.

He joins an illustrious list that includes Mick Foley, Vader, Sycho Sid, Cyndi Lauper, Wendi Richter, Roddy Piper, Diamond Dallas Page and Doink the Clown.

Well, that's not entirely fair. Slater actually managed to beat Doink. He was simply humiliated by the rest.

It's really too bad this segment will be ending soon, likely just after the Raw 1,000. And with there being a long list of legends already booked for that episode, there's no telling the kind of pain Slater is in for on July 23 in St. Louis. Hopefully a lot, all to our great amusement.
