The Cageside Seats (CSS) Pro Wrestling Tournament continues today with a match-up pitting number seven seed Kevin Nash against number 10 seed Booker T.
Nash is one of the more controversial figures in pro wrestling history. His time at the top was due mostly to a combination of his size and good looks instead of his aptitude in the ring. He was also one hell of a promo, as he constantly blurred the line between work and shoot at a time when the Internet wasn't such a prevalent part of the business. He found great success in the two major companies of the modern pro wrestling era, World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
The same can be said for Booker T. He did great things with Stevie Ray in the tag team Harlem Heat in the early 90s in WCW before becoming a singles star later in the decade, becoming just the second black man to win the title in that promotion. He went through a rough patch transitioning to the WWF after they bought out WCW but would eventually become a perennial main event level player.
These two have crossed paths at various points throughout their careers, in WCW, the WWF and even Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling. Nash was always generally the bigger star when they met up (or at least treated that way), though Booker was the better worker.
