We kick off our Cageside Seats (CSS) Pro Wrestling Tournament to crown the greatest wrestler of all time with a match-up pitting the first number one seed, Hulk Hogan, against a man he knows very well, number 16 seed, Big Show.
Hogan was recently voted the most popular pro wrestler of all time here at CSS. He's no longer an active wrestler, though he's still heavily involved in the business working with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling both at the executive level and on-screen as the acting General Manager of Impact. His legendary career spanned a number of decades and saw him as the top babyface in the world in the 1980s before reinventing himself as one of the top heels in the 1990s.
Big Show, meanwhile, is in the midst of a big push as a monster heel to oppose World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) top babyface, John Cena. He turned at the latest pay-per-view event and has been running wild on Raw and Smackdown ever since. His career started in the mid-90s and he's worked as a main event level player throughout the course of most of his career.
This match is notable because Hogan is the man Show credits for getting him into the business, thinking WCW could capitalize on André the Giant's name by finding a big guy to look somewhat like him. The two also had plenty of forgettable matches throughout their run in WCW together, with Hogan going over more often than not.
But will that be the case here? Cast your vote in this opening round match-up and take a look at the complete bracket after the jump.
