John Cena was teasing a huge, historic announcement earlier today on Twitter and as most hyped announcements go, it was rather lackluster.

Cena walked out to the ring of the top of the second hour of Raw and after some pointless Star Wars references and a fantastic Chris Jericho interruption, the Massachusetts native announced he was, for the first time ever, wrestling in a Money in the Bank ladder match.

Nothing too shocking and our own Geno Mrosko even called this development, in fact. Cena claimed he was doing so to keep The Big Show from winning and also to get himself back to the WWE Championship after not having held it since losing it to CM Punk at last year's Money in the Bank event. Of course, that's not taking into account the belt he won against Rey Mysterio a few weeks later.

Regardless, Jericho also inserted himself into the ladder match at which point Vickie Guerrero came out and announced only former champions would be allowed in while announcing Kane's participation.

Will fans get two more competitors? Alberto Del Rio fits the bill as does The Miz and Randy Orton. Maybe even Mysterio?

What say you, Cagesiders?
