Video: Paul Heyman returns to WWE Raw as Brock Lesnar's representative

Stay connected for news and updates

In case you missed it live during last night's (May 7, 2012) episode of Monday Night Raw, here's video of Paul Heyman returning to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) as the legal representation of Brock Lesnar.

Heyman didn't do much. He simply cut a promo in place of Lesnar before reading a prepared statement live on air that said Lesnar has quit the company and won't be coming back. This is, of course, just a storyline and the big man will be back before we know it. Triple H is scheduled to appear on Raw next week where I'm sure we'll get something similar to the CM Punk storyline where "The Game" will appeal to Lesnar by saying they don't have to like each other to do business and make money together.

So it will be like a peek behind the curtain.

One thing we don't know is whether or not this was a one off appearance for Heyman or if he's signed some sort of new deal with WWE. CM Punk, a man Heyman championed when he was last with the company in 2006 and tried to push but was overridden by Vince McMahon (rumored to be one of the reasons for his departure), tweeted that he's been hanging with Heyman and actually spoiled his return just before the segment aired on USA last night.

Punk did ask that Heyman be allowed to do interviews for his upcoming DVD, which is what got him back working with the promotion in some capacity, at least initially. Now, it appears he's back, at least for the time being. WWE.com has already posted a story complete with a ton of videos introducing Heyman to the new audience who may not have remembered him from almost six years ago, the last time he was with WWE.

Cagesiders, are we happy Heyman is back?
