Favorite Debut

What else is the internet good for besides mindless trivia and endless debate?

Well, porn, but I digress. Thought I'd ask a few random general questions for a couple of Fanposts.

I ask you folks, what was your favorite debut for any major promotion over the last 30 years?

My answer after the jump.

I remember being fully engaged with WWF around WM in '98, and also remember soon after that my friends and I would pool our money together for the bigger PPV's (WM, RR, SS, KOTR,SS) but never got the smaller ones. On one occasion I happened to stay at my friends house on a farm on a Sunday in February, sometimes when you are staying at a farm friend's house, you may find yourself bored to the core. This was definitely one of those occasions, so we decided to sneak and rent Valentine's Day Massacre without his parents' consent (as rebellious as two 13 year old white kids on a dairy farm can get.) I never read spoilers (still don't really) or kept up on the business side or signings of wrestlers (I do like to keep up with that stuff) in those days, so Paul Wight making a debut came as a total shock to my friend and I. I remember marking like a mofo when he not only popped through the ring, but threw Austin through the cage, and calling our other friends right after. I remember liking that PPV more than the WM that followed the next month as well. He has become somewhat of an afterthought in recent years, but Big Show's debut was probably my all-time favorite debut.
