John Cena divorce update: Wife Liz files motion to dismiss petition

Word around the water cooler over the past week has been that World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar John Cena's divorce from his wife, Liz, would get ugly and fast. And not just ugly in the sense that a divorce in and of itself is ugly, but nasty like Linda Hogan's divorce from Hulk Hogan, where she dragged his name through the mud and took him for some 70-percent of his assets.

The latest on the Cena divorce comes by way of TMZ.com and Liz has fired back at John by filing a motion of her own:

Elizabeth Cena just filed legal docs in Florida, claiming John's recent divorce petition is riddled with errors ... and should be dismissed. According to Elizabeth, John inaccurately refers to her by her maiden name (Huberdeau) instead of her legal name (Cena). As a result, Elizabeth says John fails to bring "a proper dissolution of marriage action" against her.

Elizabeth also claims John failed to attach the prenup he references in his initial divorce filing -- a copy of which MUST be attached in order for the filing to be valid. Elizabeth also takes issues with John's claim that there's no marital property -- Elizabeth insists there is ... and she wants her share.

Both parties are still jockeying for position in the early going and that's essentially all Liz is doing here. And, thanks to his silence on the matter, John continues to look like the bad guy in this situation.

It's ironic, really, if you think about it in relation to the WWE Universe having to be married to him for the past decade. While she comes off as desperate to keep the marriage together, he comes off as just wanting her to go away.

Now he knows how (most of) the fans feel!
