The S3 Hulks Up - YOUR Votes Are Better Than Prayers & Vitamins

The General gave us the rub by front-paging the poll, and YOU responded with our biggest vote total yet! What effect did it have on the Smark's Shoot Standings (S3)? The S3 is here to tell YOU, brother -- YOU're still a bunch of Smarks.

Make with the clicking to see last week's results, if IWC darling Daniel Bryan Danielson is in any danger of losing his Wrestler of the Year lead and cast YOUR vote for the best performer of the past week in this edition of the Smark's Shoot Standings!

The S3 - Week Ending May 6

1. Daniel Bryan
2. Brock Lesnar
3. CM Punk
4. John Laurinaitis
5. John Cena
6. Sheamus
7. Layla
8. (tie) Bobby Roode
8. (tie) Chris Jericho

"Breaking" a semi-retired former champ/current executive's arm isn't as impressive as beating a semi-retired Legend/current announcer for a shot at the WWE championship, apparently. Still surprised Mr. Excitement didn't place higher, as this was the week the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and the General Manager of RAW and Smackdown entered the poll due to instigating some physicality with John Cena and placing himself in a match at Over the Limit. But he did receive more votes than the man he'll face at that pay-per-view (PPV). And the World Heavyweight champ barely edges out the Divas champion -- what a world.

As always, those who place in the S3 accumulate points toward our year-long race for Wrestler of the Year...

The S3 Wrestler of the Year - through the Week Ending May 6

1. Daniel Bryan - 38.5 points
2. CM Punk - 32.5
3. Brock Lesnar - 25.5
4. John Cena - 17
5. Chris Jericho - 12.5
6. Mark Henry - 11.5
7. Bobby Roode - 10.5
8. Layla - 10
9. Lord Tensai - 9.5
10. Dolph Ziggler - 9

Early on, it looks like a three-man race. But anything can happen in the weird and wacky world of pro wrestling. See how quickly things could change by reading about how points are tallied here. Keep those votes coming. We'll keep posting the poll, and may have a few ideas about ways to keep YOUR standings interesting.

About that poll - deciding who gets listed and who doesn't is getting to be a bit of a pain, but that may just be due to the neuroses of the S3 home office (Lesnar in particular is giving us fits, with his limited dates and general petulant attitude toward appearances). The current guidelines for the poll can be found in this post, and as always, if YOU smarks think we've excluded someone, cast YOUR vote for that person in the comments, and state YOUR case for why that vote should count. Provided a decent justification, YOUR vote will be tabulated and that wrestler will be listed in the next poll.

Remember, the poll is for the previous week - the May 7th RAW, Impact! from May 10th, the Smackdown that aired on Friday the 11th of May and TNA's May 13 Sacrifice Pay-Per-View .

Make YOUR mark, smarks!
