ROH: The iPPV Failure And The Fans Who Still Defend It.

ROH TRIED to put on one of their most anticipated shows of the year that had a couple of payoffs of different feuds that have a lot of hype behind them. Yet, they failed to deliver to loyal fans who bought the iPPV and put some of their hard earned money on a company that brings a very good product, but probably has the worst production out of a lot of independent companies. They can't use GoFightLive as a scapegoat this time.

In the process of watching all the backlash that would come from the failure of ROH to bring a quality PPV experience (or a PPV experience, at all) I went on to social media to find out ROH’s answer to their difficulties and the fans who would understandably be angry. Most of them wanted a refund, which is to be expected but there were a few, a select few who after this debacle STILL defended the company that has disappointed them again and again with their inability to broadcast iPPVs.

Quotes and reactions after the jump

Here are a few gems I found

Oh God, STFU people. If you honestly thought this would go on without a hitch, you know ZERO about technology or business. Be glad they said anything at all after the GFL fiasco.

I don’t know much about business, but not giving paying customers what they pay for is not good for business.

It is $15. Goddamn, you people are a bunch of crybabies.

15 bucks buy me a couple of months of Brazzers, I don’t wanna give 15 bucks away for free.

Wrestling fans spending their day complaining and whining

EVERYONE would complain if they just spent 15 bucks on nothing

These things happen. It is still a better experience than commercial wrestling. I'm prepared to wait out the teething troubles with streaming this sort of content. Not a drama ROH, keep doing what you're doing.

Commercial wrestling? What the fuck kind of term is that, you think ROH is doing it for the love they have for wrestling? Is this some wrestling centric hipster bullshit I’m not aware of?

I'd rather they keep my 14.95 and continue putting out the best damn wraslin' that I have seen in a long time then refunding and taking a huge hit

Wow… just… wow

This type of attitude is just terrible… and I want to apologize to Sergio Hernandez for not understanding the hatred he had for ROH fans. I understand it quite clearly now

At this time it seems they are offering a refund to those who ask, if not they are offering the replay of Border Wars and free acccess to their Best In The World iPPV. For the sake of that company, I hope Best In The World actually works.
