Ring of Honor (ROH) and CHIKARA join forces tomorrow (April 28) for Synergy in Chicago, IL

A pro wrestling holiday~!

On the even of Sunday's (April 29) Extreme Rules pay-per-view, two of the biggest promotions in indie wrestling descend upon Chicago to create a weekend chock full of wrestling for residents of the "Second City."

Before WWE takes over Chicago on Sunday, Ring of Honor (ROH) and CHIKARA will be co-promoting an event known as Synergy with each promotion putting on a full-fledged card.

It started with ROH's Homecoming show where the team of Jigsaw and Hallowicked scored an unlikely pinfall in a Proving Ground match against the ROH tag champions, The Briscoe Brothers.

The friendly rivalry turned sour, however, when Kevin Steen crashed the 10th Anniversary Show festivities and interrupted an interview with CHIKARA Grand Champion Eddie Kingston. Steen insulted his now former friend and the company he represents and to a tough kid from Yonkers, that's just about all that's needed to start a fight.

CHIKARA's Hot Off the Griddle will pop off in the early afternoon and will feature the following matches

Grand Championship title match: Eddie Kingston vs. Kevin Steen
Sara Del Rey vs. El Generico
The Young Bucks (NIck and Matt Jackson) vs. Arik Cannon and Darin Corbin
Mixed Martial Archie vs. Kobald
The Throwbacks (Dasher Hatfield and Mr. Touchdown) vs. The Batiri (Obariyon and Kodama)
Handicap match: Gran Akuma vs. Chuck Taylor, Johnny Gargano and Icarus
The Colony (Soldier Ant, Fire Ant, Gree Ant) and Jigsaw vs. The Swarm (assailANT, deviANT, combatANT) and The Shard
3.0 (Scott Parker and Shane Matthews) and The Spectral Envoy (UltraMantis Black and Hallowicked) vs. The Bravado Brothers (Harlem and Lancelot), Tim Donst and Jakob Hammermeier

Immediately following CHIKARA's offering, the stars of ROH will take over and present Unity, with the following card:

ROH Tag Team title match: The Briscoes vs. Jigsaw & Hallowicked
Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) vs. Davey Richards and Kyle O'Reilly
The All Night Express (Rhett Titus and Kenny King) vs. The House of Truth (Roderick Strong and Michael Elgin)
Kevin Steen and Jimmy Jacobs vs. El Generico and BJ Whitmer
Lucha rules match: Jay Lethal, Adam Cole and TJ Perkins vs. The Colony
The Young Bucks vs. The Bravados
