Well, Raw certainly was garbage, wasn't it?
It was the go home show for Extreme Rules and if anything, it might have caused fans to not order the pay-per-view (PPV) which would have been unfathomable just a couple weeks ago.
Brock Lesnar F5ing John Cena and then both men engaging in a pull-apart brawl was followed by the lamest contract signing of all time which seemed to drag on into infinity thanks to Lesnar's "stellar" mic work.
Can Smackdown turn the tide?
Judging from PWTorch's live report, it doesn't appear so.
But at least we get to see my new favorite rugby player in action.
Full spoilers after the jump.
Former World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan opened the show and cut a promo about dumping the lovely A.J., being the guest referee on Raw and his Extreme Rules opponent, Sheamus. Alberto Del Rio showed up and reminded everyone he is still owed a title shot before The Big Show came out and cleared house. He also chokeslammed poor Ricardo Rodriguez.
Del Rio then beat Show in a non-title match after Cody Rhodes interfered. There must be a glitch in the Matrix because I have a feeling of deja vu.
DAMIEN SANDOW~! promo.
Nikki Bella defended her Divas Championship against Alicia Fox.
The newest Smackdown tag team, Darren Young and Titus O'Neil, picked up their second win by beating Yoshi Tatsu and Ezekiel Jackson.
Interview with Randy Orton in which Jinder Mahal shows up and takes an RKO.
ANTONIO CESARO~! defeats Tyson KIdd
The Brock Lesnar interview spot from last week's Raw airs again, bringing the total up to 231 times.
The Great Khali beats Cody Rhodes, Ryback wins another squash match and in the main event, Sheamus defeats Mark Henry in a non-title match.
Clever WWE, throwing Antonio Cesaro onto the show to ensure I'll watch it. If not for that, this looks like a snoozer.
What do you think, Cagesiders?
