On this date in WWE history: Happy Birthday Paul Bearer!

On April 10, 1954, William Alvin "Bill" Moody, perhaps best known to professional wrestling fans as "Paul Bearer," is born in Mobile, Alabama. As I mentioned, most fans remember his work with "The Undertaker," waddling down to the ring with a shiny urn and his haunting promo voice.

Here are some things you may not know:

--Honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1976 (Pic)
--Started his pro wrestling career as a ringside photographer
--In-ring debut as "Mr. X" in June 1974
--Graduated with honors with a degree in Mortuary Science from San Antonio College, in San Antonio, Texas
--1998 Manager Of The Year from Pro Wrestling Illustrated

Also known as "Percy Pringle," Moody still holds his Funeral Director and Embalmer license and will appear sporadically under the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) banner, a company he debuted with back in 1990. In addition to "The Deadman," Moody also worked with Kane, Vader, The Executioner and Mankind.

If you're a pro wrestling fan, then Moody's website is a must-read. Lots of great content and some incredible photos (like this one) for nostalgia marks. Check it out here.
