WWE Diva Kharma told folks a couple months ago that she gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Dec. 31, 2011. This was just roughly one month before appearing in the Royal Rumble match this year.

As it turns out, the truth is far more devastating.

TMZ talked to Kharma (real name Kia Stevens) and it turns out she lied. Her baby did not survive the birth and she's been coping with the loss ever since:

Kia tells us she is still devastated over the loss ... and initially lied to friends about the child being "healthy" because she was incredibly emotional and was afraid to tell the public the truth after announcing her pregnancy on live TV. ... "I am planning to start a foundation for women that have experienced the same thing" ... Kia says ... adding, "It's a bigger club than people think."

This is terribly sad news. I can't imagine what it must be like to have lost a child during birth after carrying it for nine months or so. It's amazing she was able to even make the small appearance she had at the Royal Rumble.
