Here's the video (second vid after the jump) of the final confrontation between The Rock and John Cena from last night's (March 26, 2012) WrestleMania 28 go-home edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.
In what turned out to be a surprise -- though it's quite sad to think of it that way -- the childish insults came to an end and the two titans of the ring actually bothered to be the charismatic performers they've always been. To put the cherry on top, they presented the arguments we've been waiting for them to since day one.
On the one hand, Cena feels as though he has to win this match because if he doesn't, it will all but cancel out the decade's worth of hard work he's put into the company who made him a star. That's because a glorified visitor would be the one doing the deed and that just can't happen.
Rock, meanwhile, knows his legacy is at stake. If he beats Cena at WrestleMania, it will give him a resume unmatched by anyone in the history of the business. He will have beaten Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin and John Cena at the biggest show of the year. He put a cherry on top by professing his personal dislike for Cena, which, of course, just makes him want to deliver the ass-kicking of a lifetime on the biggest stage possible.
It's just a shame it took this long to make this happen. The basis of this feud should have been built on the storyline represented here all along.
Nonetheless, the match is just five days away. Are we ready to finally get this thing on or what, Cagesiders?
