According to sPyWareInsider, Vince McMahon and company may have already decided how a good portion of the WrestleMania 28 card will play out.
The now seven match eight match event will go down on April 1, 2012 from Miami, FL and will be headlined by arguably the biggest star of the "Attitude Era" taking on the biggest star of the "PG Era." The Rock and John Cena match was made officially the day after WrestleMania 27 when Cena challenged "The Great One" to a bout in The Rock's hometown.
It was a bold move. A year-long build promised to be tough to pull off. There have been plenty of missteps along the way but the WWE also has managed to score a few wins as well.
While those two will close out the show, it's rumored CM Punk will defend his WWE Title against Chris Jericho in the opener. Their rivalry recently took a dark turn and while the storyline itself has its doubters, you'd be hard-pressed to believe these two won't put on an instant classic.
In fact, with the return of The Rock to WrestleMania, it wouldn't surprise me to see everyone up their games as a way to get out of his shadow. Triple H and his Hell in a Cell match opponent The Undertaker will likely be doing this. Their match is currently scheduled to go on in the middle of the four hour show.
Where does this leave the World Heavyweight Title match between champion Daniel Bryan and Sheamus? It wouldn't surprise me to see this either right before or right after the Hell in a Cell match but nothing is cofirmed. Also, there is no word on where the Intercontinental Title match between Cody Rhodes and The Big Show will end up nor do we know the placement of the newly announced Divas tag match between the team of Beth Phoenix and Eve and their opponents Kelly Kelly and Extra host Maria Menounos.
And if I were a betting man, I would wager the 12-man tag team match between Team Long and Team Laurinaitis will lead directly into the main event. With Santino as the captain of Team Long, it has all the makings to be a fun match which will help the mood going into the main event. Teddy Long and John Laurinaitis are currently assembling their teams to help them take control of both Raw and Smackdown and it's heavily rumored a certain masked luchador will be making his long-awaited return to help rep Team Long.
