The ratings are in for last night's (March 12, 2012) episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, which featured John Cena rapping, The Rock singing a concert, a confrontation between the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, and Chris Jericho calling out CM Punk's dad for alcoholism.
The numbers aren't at the levels they were last year but they're still solid. PWTorch with the word:
WWE Raw on Monday, March 12 scored a 3.27 rating, virtually even with a 3.25 rating last week. The overall show averaged 4.82 million viewers, the most since the Raw after the Royal Rumble.
Even better is the fact that viewership didn't decline from the first hour to the second, it actually went up. The average for the first hour was 4.67 million viewers while the second hour pulled in 4.97. You know what this likely means, folks?
People wanted to see the Rock's concert.
Indeed, that was the major selling point of the show, as he was given the most time and the main event slot. And even folks like myself who tend to wear out on the repeated sexual innuendo and childish flinging of insults couldn't help but enjoy it and admit to the fact that Rock hit a home run.
Only two weeks left until WrestleMania 28, Cagesiders.
