WrestleMania 28: WWE announces 12-man tag match to decide General Manager of Raw and Smackdown

We knew it would be and now it is so.

WWE.com (which recently underwent yet another overhaul) has officially announced a 12-man tag team match pitting a team of superstars representing John Laurinaitis against a team of superstars representing Teddy Long.

Here's a snip:

Mr. Long and Mr. Laurinaitis will resolve the impasse by choosing teams of six Superstars to compete in a 12-Man Tag Team Match at WrestleMania. The General Manager of the winning team -- whether Team Teddy Long or Team John Laurinaitis -- will then ben awarded stewardship of Raw and Smackdown. Mr. Long and Mr. Laurinaitis are expected to choose their respective teams in the weeks preceding WrestleMania.

This storyline has been, admittedly enough, a tad goofy but not terribly time consuming. This is their way of getting as many wrestlers as possible into a match and on the card without having to do the Money in the Bank ladder match, will is being reserved for the pay-per-view of the same name later this year.

As for who will be on the respective teams, there are three episodes a piece of Raw and Smackdown until WrestleMania. Plenty of time to make such decisions. But who is most likely to appear?

Let's take a look at a few names.

-- Christian: He's healthy now and needs something to do at the big show.
-- Alberto Del Rio: See above.
-- Santino Marella: U.S. champion who has already been involved with this feud.
-- Jack Swagger: Lost U.S. title to Santino.
-- Dolph Ziggler: Association with Swagger
-- Kofi Kingston: Has made sporadic appearances in the feud.
-- R-Truth: Has been teaming with Kingston.
-- Primo and Epico: Have been jobbign to Truth and Kingston.
-- David Otunga: Laurinaitis' right hand man.
-- Mason Ryan: The big muscle who will run roughshod at some point in the match.
-- Brodus Clay: Great way to reintroduce him to the audience after long absence.

That makes 12, Cagesiders. Or do you have better options? Let's hear it.
