John Laurinaitis NOT fired, according to WWE Board of Directors

Photo via www.wwe.com.

We wish him all the luck in his current endeavors.

His name is John Laurinaitis, and he is STILL Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim General Manager of Monday Night RAW. But don't take my word for it.

From WWE.com:

Following John Laurinaitis' presentation on Monday, the WWE Board of Directors has decided that the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations will remain as Interim General Manager of Monday Night Raw. See "Mr. Excitement's" argument for keeping him on the job.

Why do you think the Board kept John Laurinaitis as Interim Raw GM? Was this a good decision? Let your voice be heard on WWE Interaction now!

After last night's disaster, RAW needs all the help it can get.

It will be interesting to see how this affects the ongoing storyline between "Ace" and Triple H, who continue to butt heads every Monday night. And if the Board of Directors can override him on this, what does that say about Trips' (kayfabe) power?

Stay tuned.

Nice

There’s a lot of good talent waiting for a shot in FCW now. Sucks for the Curt Hawkins and Trent Barreta’s of the WWE though

WWe.com

I went to their site to look for it, and its funny, they didn’t even have an article on the front page. In fact, I couldn’t locate it. Styles needs to get better at his “news” because this isn’t the 1st time that .com has completely sucked ass.

I'm not sure what you are talking about

I see it right on the home site. It’s a teaser and you have to click a link, but that’s expected from WWE

Could the whole Bad Raw had been a work in order for the board to justify an Ace return

I'm still waiting for my CM Punk WWE Ice Cream Bar.

So, I am wondering what the hell the point of HHH firing him was

Just to reintroduce him on TV, so the Undertaker could challenge him?

He never actually fired him, he was about to before Taker showed up

Then, Johnny Ace went to the board of directors to make one last plea for his job.

by hfl2013 on Feb 7, 2012 3:21 PM EST up reply actions

Realistically, a guy doesn't need to say the full sentence "You're fired" for him to actually be fired

If he was actually supposed to be fired, he would have been fired already- the paperwork would of been put in, and all that real-life stuff.

So dumb.

Yeah

that’s a weird thing to say. Just because we’re watching wrestling means we shouldn’t expect infant level storytelling?

Its one of the things that has become a part of wrestling

Just like in a cage match, no matter how fast you get to the top of the cage, you always struggle mightily to make it over the top. Or every contract signing having to end in a brawl. Or every Stone Cold appearance ends with someone getting the Stunner

I don't get it.

You guys are all over this guy like he’s some kind of genius. It’s common knowledge that he’s an asshole and treats talent like shit in real life, and he’s basically just writing a show to put himself over. But that’s OK cause he’s somewhat amusing.

Yet Triple H is constantly accused of this kind of stuff of air, and yet everyone hates him. Regardless of his in ring work etc. Awesome.

I’m a huge fan.

I agree

Johnny Ace has been hilarious on TV and I like him as the Raw GM, but people have really glossed over a lot of the real issues people have had with him before. I brought this up when people were saying how Punk was the asshole when the 2 were arguing. Ace really is just a McMahon ass kisser who has played a part in releasing a lot of talented guys. It doesn’t mean I want him off TV, but it should be acknowledged at least.

by hfl2013 on Feb 7, 2012 8:32 PM EST up reply actions

ofcourse i dont think anyone disagrees with that

But john plays his part well gets heat and has made great improvements from when he took the gm role. He has delivered some funny promos and has been entertaining which is all you can ask for from a guy in his role
