Video: WWE Smackdown from Fri., Feb. 3, 2012, featuring Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett

Here's the latest episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown from Feb. 3, 2012, featuring Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett in a no disqualification match.

Also announced was the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match for the world heavyweight championship with Daniel Bryan defending his title against Big Show, Great Khali, Randy Orton, Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes.

I know it's slow around here on the weekends, Cagesiders, but don't worry, all returns to normal tomorrow for Raw.

I am still disappointed

they decided to cut the Funkasaurus’ match from Smackdown. I found the lack of funk disturbing.

I fed the Funkasaurus.

All of you know that I love the Funkasaurus

but I’m kind of happy he wasn’t on Smackdown. If he is on both shows each week doing squash matches, he’s gonna get overexposed. They need to wrap up the squash matches and get him into a program with someone.

The Great Khali?

I was digging the SD Chamber match until he was included. I understand Henry needs the time off, but give us anyone but Khali. Although, who else is there that wouldn’t seem entirely out of place?

It would have been cool to make someone earn that last spot. They could have done something with all the jobbers to see who wins the last spot in the match. A lot of those guys could do some exciting moves in the Chamber.

Now that I think about it, that could have been a way to build Drew McIntyre back up. Personally, I would prefer Tyson Kidd.

Also a good way to fill the spot

with the added benefit of building to the PPV on TV.

Recent history suggests we should all pretend to be heavily in favor of Khaki’s involvement. Vince will then put someone else in the match to swerve us internet marks.
