Wrestlemania XXIX To Take Place At MetLife Stadium

Having Wrestlemania outdoors is a pretty good idea.

Having Wrestlemania outdoors in New Jersey in early April? Well, we'll see.

The WWE has announced that Wrestlemania XXIX will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday, April 7, 2013.

Of the 27 Wrestlemanias so far, only two of them have been held at outdoor venues. . .Wrestlemania IX at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, and Wrestlemania XXIV at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. This year's Wrestlemania will also be an outdoor event, being held at SunLife Stadium in Miami, Florida.

Those three events obviously don't present the potential for bad weather that New Jersey does as far as temperatures and so forth. The average high temperature for East Rutherford in April is right around 62 degrees, with an average low of about 40, so it's likely going to be a pretty chilly Wrestlemania. Nowhere was mentioned as a backup location in case of inclement weather.
