Video: The latest CHIKARA Podcast-A-Go-Go featuring Colt Cabana in action at High Noon
If you aren't familiar with Colt Cabana, you truly are doing yourself a disservice.
Arguably the most fun wrestler you'll ever see inside the ring, Cabana isn't a one-trick pony like your Santino Marellas of the world; he's also one heck of a worker. Perhaps best known as being WWE Champion CM Punk's best friend, Cabana is also a world-travelled grappler having spent time in the states with Ring of Honor (ROH) and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) among others while also plying his craft across the Pacific with Pro Wrestling ZERO1 in Japan and New Horizons Professional Wrestling (NHPW) in Australia.
His goofy character combined with his legit in-ring skills makes him the perfect fit for CHIKARA who seem to be inviting "Boom Boom" back more often. And that's great news for everyone. He takes on The Batiri member Kobald on Feb. 25 at A Death Worse Than Fate and hooks horns with UltraMantis Black the next night at Caught in the Spider's Den. This week's Podcast-A-Go-Go features a clip from his match with Archibald Peck at High Noon, a perfect example of how great a comedy wrestling match can be.
But wait, there's more!
For those wondering what Kobald's whole deal is, a clip of his appearance at CHIKARA's annual torneo cibernetico will give you a glimpse of what he will have in store for Cabana.

Just because Santino is booked as a one-trick pony.
Doesn’t mean he is one.

Ric'd for the truth.
You can’t tell one’s wrestling skill from WWE booking.
I’ve seen Colt wrestle live many times and as much as I think he’s great, I think Santino is just as entertaining in my opinion.

It's true...
That WWE could be holding Santino back. But I can only go by whats I sees.

No worries. We just probably like Santino more than you do. It’s all good. There’s no right opinion when it comes being a wrestling fan, brotherrrr.
Colt should be in the WWE along with Santino. That’s a dream comedy match right there.

I mean, I...
Like Santino but whenever he steps inside the ring, I don’t expect even a decent match. It’s the complete opposite with Cabana. I know I’ll have my yuks while also enjoying the match.
Also, for anyone reading this, you must must MUST check out Colt’s Art of Wrestling podcast. It’s amazing.

Colt's also a really nice guy.
And one of the most helpful people not in the big leagues.

So why is this guy not in the WWE again or ROH?
I’m not going to ask TNA because I doubt he would go there.
Players who should be in the Hall of Fame: Pat TIllman, Dwight White, Donnie Shell, L.C. Greenwood, Ray Guy, Steve Tasker, Greg Lloyd, Andy Russell, Cris Carter, Kevin Greene, Andre Reed and Jerry Kramer
"Clemson should've stopped turning the ball over" Dana Holgorsen when asked about running up the score in the Orange Bowl
He had another tryout match I believe with the WWE post CM Punk shoot promo
I really thought he’d be back in the WWE right now but with an actual chance at making a name for himself. Hopefully, he can get into the WWE at some point and we can finally see a CM Punk stable that has the WWE behind them.
