The S3: Vote for Best Performer of the Week Ending Dec. 30th and Last Week's Winner

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - the Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the three performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week - the Christmas Eve episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Wednesday night's WWE Main Event, TNA Impact Wrestling from December 27th and Friday the 28th's airing of WWE SmackDown.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

"But I might let her borrow it."

  • The WWE's newest power couple dominated both the poll and comment voting.
  • Internet Wrestling Community (IWC) faves and annual Standings leaders Bryan and Punk tie for third, the former with a title retention on Main Event and showing his heart by tapping to a kid on the local news, the latter with his crutch and his mouth.
  • WOOOOO
  • The second division was largely made up of guys who have us smarks excited about the WWE's future. And also Kane.
  • Meanwhile, back at the Impact Zone, it pays to be Roode.

The S3 - Week Ending December 23

1. Dolph Ziggler
2.
AJ Lee
3. (tie) CM Punk
3. (tie) Daniel Bryan
5. Ric Flair

6. Antonio Cesaro
7.
Bobby Roode
8. Ryback

9. Kane
10. (tie)
Dean Ambrose
10. (tie) Roman Reigns
10. (tie) Seth Rollins

Dolph is putting together a nice string of victories and stacking up annual Standings points. But it's coming at a time when a number of the current leaders, including his new special lady, are also catching our eye and capturing our votes.

As for those annual Standings...my graphics fu is weak sauce, so cSs' Juana of Castile, June M. Williams, graciously offered to make the full, year-to-date S3 I attempted to post last week actually, you know, something you can read:

(How awesome is that? How awesome is June?)

Things have slowed down in the world of professional rasslin', but the New Year is a great time to reflect on what's working for you as a fan. Keith Harris' comprehensive Week in Wrestling will fill in the gaps on anything you missed while reveling. Thanks for all of the reads, votes, comments, recs and support - see you next year!
