What's better than two of the greatest of all time hooking up on free TV on this date in pro wrestling history? Not much.
When I was a kid growing up in the 80's, I loved WWF's Saturday Night's Main Event. Not only because it gave fans rare marquee match-ups (this was long before the monthly pay-per-views), but also because it bumped NBC's Saturday Night Live, and that made my parents pissed off.
Win-win for Hulk Holland.
One of the greatest matches I ever saw on SNME was Randy Savage vs. Bret Hart on November 28, 1987. This was a match that had it all: Great technical work, big money spots, ring psychology, a great finish and a hot crowd.
It also proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that "The Hitman" was ready for a singles run.
This is one of the bouts featured on the WWE's "Best of SNME" DVD and for good reason. So how about it Cagesiders, where does this one rank in your list of classics -- if at all?
