Five years before the infamous Montreal Screwjob, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and Earl Hebner worked a Survivor Series match with an eerily similar finish on this date in WWF history.
Bret Hart was defending his title against Shawn Michaels at Survivor Series with Earl Hebner as referee and Vince McMahon at ringside.
Then, the sharpshooter was applied and the bell was rung.
And "The Hitman" was the winner.
No, this wasn't some alternate universe in which the "Montreal Screwjob" never occured, it was five years earlier, on November 25, 1992, featuring a prelude to the screwjob in question.
Same event, players and finisher ... but a different outcome. Perhaps the outcome Hart was expecting in their second go-round before bolting for WCW?
