Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - the Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.
Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the top three performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.
Remember, the Standings are for the previous week - the November 5th Monday Night Raw, Tuesday's election night Super SmackDown, Wednesday night's Main Event, the November 8th Impact Wrestling and TNA's Turning Point Pay-Per-View from Sunday the 11th.
Make YOUR mark, smarks!
"Cheer up, Kaz! We won an S3...Appletinis are on me!"
It was a regular Dynamic Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament this past week in the S3, except our favorites don't have the titles.
Big Show continues earning smark respect with his reliable heel performances this year. Three "future stars" tied for fourth place, edging a departing diva. Beth came in right in front of the surprise hit of 3MB. Christian York gets a point for impressing in Gut Check, Ricardo gets a point for being awesome in all of his guises, and Rey gets a point for... being Rey.
Our returning poll was not a big draw, pulling in just 13 votes. Show, Jinder and Kofi Kingston each received two votes to tie for first. I treated that as a regular comment vote, where the voter ranked the three as equal. And, no, I didn't assign "super comment" points. We'll need to get closer to our previous poll baseline of 50+ votes to give it more weight than I do the votes of those who take the time to log-in and comment.
The S3 - Week Ending November 4
1. (tie) Christopher Daniels
1. (tie) Kazarian
3. Big Show
4. (tie) Cody Rhodes

9. (tie) Ricardo Rodriguez (El Local)

Show makes the jump into our annual top ten. Given the current point totals, it'd take a lot to make a run on the top. But who knows?
The S3 Performer of the Year - through the Week Ending November 4
1. CM Punk - 195 points
2. Daniel Bryan - 162.5
3. Austin Aries - 116
4. AJ Lee - 111.5
5. Damien Sandow - 89.83
6. Dolph Ziggler - 79.5
7. (tie) Kane - 53
7. (tie) Chris Jericho - 53
9. Big Show - 52.5
10. Bobby Roode - 45.5
I mentioned the poll's lackluster debut - I've tried to streamline the choices a little to see if the size was daunting, and to encourage folks to comment if they want to support someone who doesn't make the list. Will it survive, or do we revert back to comment-only voting?
Related to that subject, if anyone has ideas about promoting our Standings to get more votes and discussion going, I'd love to hear them. This marketing major is experiencing a case of salesperson's block.
We still get an interesting and, I think, representative sample of what the internet wrestling community (IWC) is thinking. So what'd y'all think about last week? Go here for the week in review, and here for the results of the PPV Pick 'Em crushing Turning Point event.
