Just one night after the Montreal Screwjob, Eric Bischoff announced to the world that Bret Hart had signed and he would become the newest member of the nWo on this date in history.
And then proceeded to butcher the Canadian national anthem.
On November 10, 1997, Eric Bischoff told a national audience on Monday Nitro that he had signed Bret Hart, who would debut as the newest member of the nWo.
Keep in mind, this was before most of us were running wild on the world wide web, so it was difficult to separate fact from fiction at the time. Especially since it came just one day after the Montreal Screwjobf.
Because of his no-compete clause, "The Hitman" wouldn't be seen until December and was pushed as a face in response to the fan support he'd received from his falling out with the WWF.
nW-no.
How about it Cagesiders, anyone remember buying what Bisch was selling?
