TNA Genesis is all set to pop off from the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida, this coming Sun., Jan. 8, 2012, at 8 p.m. ET live on pay-per-view (PPV).
Following last night's go-home show, the match card is complete. Here is the line-up heading into the first PPV of the year for TNA:
-- Bobby Roode vs. Jeff Hardy for the TNA heavyweight championship
-- Kurt Angle vs. James Storm
-- D'Angelo Dinero vs. Devon
-- Gail Kim vs. Mickie James for the TNA Knockout's championship
-- Abyss vs. Bully Ray in a Monster's Ball match
-- Austin Aries vs. Kid Kash vs. Jesse Sorenson vs. Zema Ion in a Four Corners match for the TNA X Division championship
-- Crimson and Matt Morgan vs. Samoa Joe and Magnus for the TNA Tag Team championships
-- Rob Van Dam vs. Gunner
There's the card, folks, but is it worth paying for? The general consensus seems to be that it's not and the fact that it's being held in the lifeless Impact Zone isn't going to help matters. Kim and James had a damn good match to close Impact two weeks ago and Hardy is gaining steam on his way back to winning the title but TNA has been getting angle heavy again lately and it's making for convoluted TV again.
Essentially, there's nothing here to make anyone believe this show will do much higher than the normal 7,500 buys.
After the jump, watch previews for all the top matches on the card.
Bobby Roode vs. Jeff Hardy
Gail Kim vs. Mickie James
Kurt Angle vs. James Storm
Bully Ray vs. Abyss
