Chris Jericho's return to RAW on 1/2/12 was strange to say the least. But I think I am starting to understand Vince McMahon's insanity a little. (At this point it's like trying to understand the mind of Hannibal Lector) And I believe this is setting up a CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho feud, and here's why.

CM Punk really became a top-tier wrestler after his infamous rant on WWE, and the crowd always goes wild whenever he starts to go on a tirade. And he is constantly compared to Jericho with his mic skills. So (in kayfabe) Chris Jericho will say that he came back to show he is still the most entertaining voice in the WWE, and that he is able to whip the crowd into a frenzy WITHOUT A SINGLE WORD. And he will talk about how he was the #1,#2, and #3 top topics on Twitter.

Punk vs. Jericho would easily be the best feud of the year. Now this isn't the best angle, but I believe this is what Vince is planning.
