The Rock advertised for multiple Raw shows leading up to WrestleMania 28
Ah, yes, we're back in the "who is and isn't advertised" business.
This time it's The Rock, who will be making his triumphant return to WWE within the next month to begin the final push to WrestleMania 28 and his mega-match against John Cena in the biggest main event in history in Miami, Florida.
Or at least that's what they tell us.
Essentially, starting on the Feb. 27 episode of Raw, you can expect to see The Rock either in person or via satellite leading all the way up until April 1, the date of WrestleMania this year.
Hopefully there are no changes in plan that dictate our needing to revisit this subject. Because it's much more fun to debate who is going over and just how they're going to please the many folks at Sun Life Stadium who will be calling for John Cena's head.
After all, Cena isn't going to job clean in the center of the ring ... is he?

When they announced this match, I was super excited.
Because I legitimately can’t think of a finish. But I kinda forgot about it and I find myself not really caring about it much anymore. I’m sure that’ll change once Rock does a few new promos, but … meh.
what worries
me is the rock has put over every one I mean damn one time I want him to play the game l

I doubt Cena wins
Asides for the pay, and cooperation with the WWE promoting his stuff, why would the Rock come back in, more or less, a “one night only” type deal, if he’s going to lose? Also, it’s not like John Cena is some newish guy who needs a big win to be put over. The Rock’s legacy is set, and John Cena’s legacy is set.

Well
The guy coming back for the one-off (which isn’t actually what this is because he’s contracted for dates past Mania) should NOT be the guy going over because he’s not going to be around for later while the other guy is. What sense does it make to give Rock the win and bail while Cena loses and stays as the top guy? It’s like saying, “Hey, this is the top guy in the company and he’s better than everyone else here but there’s always another guy out there who can show up at any time and whip his ass.” In a roundabout way, you’re undercutting the entire roster. And yeah, you could almost get away with that because it’s The Rock and he’s earned that kind of credibility but the idea is to get Cena even more over than before. Rock’s legacy is set. Cena, meanwhile, is still struggling with half the fucking crowd everywhere he goes. There are tons of wrestling fans who refuse to buy into him as any sort of actual talent. He’s just a guy who got a huge push. Rock jobbing and putting him over with a handshake after or something would be fucking huge.
Forget it Donny, you're out of your element.

It’s funny. That’s exactly how I view CM Punk right now. CM Punk may be the champ and so called Best in the World, but he got beat by Triple H. I know it wasn’t a clean finish, but still.

Cena's place in the wrestling world is already set
He doesn’t need a victory over the Rock to cement his place, or get over. And, speaking of getting over- you think the half of the crowd that already boos him won’t continue doing so? It’d probably be more vociferous! “The WWE let him get a win over the Rock? The Rock!? Screw that, screw him, boo!”

Rock probably doesn’t care if he loses. I mean anyone really believe Rock cares if he wins or not? Dudes getting paid huge money and he’s having fun, he doesn’t care.

Now I know
how all of the Hogan fans felt while I was frantically cheering for the Rock to go over at Wrestlemania 18.
As much as I would love to see Rock win he doesn’t need to. He hasn’t needed to since 1998- a fact which he clearly realizes and has done his best to elevate everyone from Goldberg and Lesnar to the Hurricane (!). There’s no way that they don’t use this as an opportunity to boost Cena, though the telling part will be how willing will Cena be to sell for and put over his peers afterwards.

Cena is gonna win this match...
….Just like Rock won against Hogan….
Same type of style, different Eras…. blah…

Rock win
Rock wins at Wrestlemania. Cena finally ‘embraces the hate’ for a few months, they feud through Summerslam where Cena (with maybe a little help) beats the Rock.
Cena heel turn?
I think Wrestlmania is the time for Cena to finally ‘go bad’. Much of the reason older fans are so bored of him is that his character’s so one-dimensional – every big star needs to do at least one good run as a heel to really get people on their side when they turn face. Orton and Punk have both ‘gone good’ relatively recently so it’s time for Cena to become the big baddie.
Where better to turn than at Wrestlemania, against The Rock? Maybe he goes apeshit with anger and cripples The Rock with a bat while security try to stop him, then stomps around shouting in the mic about how everyone can f**k off for booing him and how he’s going to cripple everybody else in the WWE. I, for one, would like him then.
