Video: Hulk Hogan appears on FOX TV's American Dad

Who's more patriotic than Stan Smith? Perhaps no-one in the world apart from the Real American Hulk Hogan, so it should come as no surprise that the Hulkster has made a recent cameo on this season's American Dad. Here we see Stan has lost his way and is acting more like a Million Dollar Man than a down to earth U.S. citizen, so his geeky son Steve brings his pro wrestling friend to snap him into his senses as only he can. Cue a classic parody of a mid 1980s Hulkamania promo and his in ring schtick.

In my opinion, this is a much better use of his current abilities than trying to relive his prime in real life by wrestling at UK house shows, as in cartoon form he can look as great as he did when I was growing up as a young boy, though your mileage may vary. After the jump, you can compare and contrast his animated form with a couple of his appearances from TNA's British tour. What do you think Cageside brothers, which do you prefer?

I've never seen anyone rape their own name so much.

After all the money this guy made off the Hulk Hogan character, he should never need a job again and neither should his kids. Stupid choices can make a poor man out of anyone.

Now, count up your crimes!

Man that looks like a big crowd in London! Wonder what the numbers were?

Anyway, well done TNA!

On topic: Cartoon Hulkster can still do a big boot! But aside from that, the two forms of Hogan are not that different. Never were.

Back to TNA...

How interesting would it be if the promotion were to relocate to the UK, conquer that territory to make it their own while keeping the same US broadcast deal as well as their current crew of mostly American wrestlers?

TNA is already branching off in India. Conquering the wrestling-hungry and neglected British crowds could have some interesting consequences. The Brits have no major wrestling promotion of their own. They might really embrace TNA and help the company grow in the best possible way.

Imagine TNA as the number promotion on the international scene while still having American broadcast access. Wrestling would be very exciting!

That's pretty much like putting a coat of paint on a shitty Dodge Dart

..it’s still a shitty Dodge Dart…only with a shiny new paintjob.

TNA needs an overhaul from the ground up before they even THINK about relocating anywhere or doing…anything, to be honest.

From what I’ve heard the crowd was about 8,000 fans. They’ve drawn between 6,000-8,100 fans in London for their annual show the past three years, so it’s a very good number, but not exceptionally so. They maybe should tour the UK twice a year, but I don’t think the market could sustain much more than that.

I did find it funny that Stan did a mini-Hulk up

Call me a Mark

but I loved the walk-off to Real American.I’ve been a wrasslin fan since about 1980, so I’m big in the nostalgia bit. Been checking out CS for awhile & really enjoy the articles & comments. Expect to see more of my comments in the future. In the meantime a little about me: I grew up watching wrestling on Sunday mornings of NWA matches taped at Memorial Hall in KCMO, & WCCW from Texas. My favorites include Road Warriors (best EVER) vs anyone, the Chris Adams/Gino Hernandez fueds in Texas, Sting/Nikita Koloff fueds, & favorite all time match has to be Magnum TA vs Tully Blanchard in one of the most grueling cage matches to date. Love Geno’s avatar.
