Video: The Rock promo leading to John Cena match at WrestleMania 28

Starting at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, WWE began airing videos for John Cena and The Rock detailing their lives leading up to their match at WrestleMania 28 on April 1. Cena's can be seen here and Rock's is above.

As Stephanie McMahon has mentioned, they're going for a "Team Edward vs. Team Jacob" type of build, where they present fans with all the information they need to know on both guys and everyone chooses a side. I can't say I blame them and really, it's one of the only ways to a market a babyface vs. babyface match.

More great work from the WWE production team and the train headed for Miami keeps chugging along.

Showed this video at the Rumble. Saw it on RAW

I hope they don’t show this, and the John Cena one every week. Not that it isn’t well made, or whatever, but it’s almost five minutes long. I’ll take an extra 5 minute match, please.

Time wise

if they drop the needless replay recaps of what was literally the previous segment, the senseless Diva booking (Beth and Natalya should have body counts, not losses, to those Barbies…), stretcher scenes, and give us new installments of Rock and Cena every week (I’m thinking an installment series in the style of HBO’s 24/7) then I think we all win.

Who wants to save the world? That's what misers do...
