WWE Royal Rumble: Will Jerry Lawler be in the match?
"Every superstar is eligible," is the tagline to this years Royal Rumble match. And with that, we've all been speculating and guessing and predicting who exactly is going to enter. Presumably, there are going to be plenty of surprise entrants on top of the regular jobbers and potential winners.
When asked if he was going to enter, Jerry Lawler had this to say:
"I can't tell. I will say this: every WWE Superstar is eligible, so you don't know who all is going to be in there. Like every year, there are going to be some big surprises, and, who knows, 'The King' could be a big surprise."
Anyone hoping to see Lawler in the Rumble this year? We're just hours away, Cagesiders.

I didn’t want to see him 30 years ago. In any match. I’m just glad so many of the guys gave him pay backs for all the years of him being a dick.

Well he looked like he hated that interview.
No I don’t want to see King. It was dumb when he was in the 97 Rumble and it would be worse now. If an announcer is going to be in it it should be Booker.

It would lead me to believe that @bisping must have pissed off @danawhite something fierce. RT @drjamezkelske: @danhendo just out of curiosity, if the #ufc comes to you and asks you to fight Bisping again how do you respond?" -Dan Henderson

I just feel like they have jobbers for that exact thing
No reason for King to once again be getting more spotlight than he already has.

The King is one of my all-time favorites and still good in the ring. Since he won the Raw Royal Rumble last year, this is where they could have done a real swerve and let Lawler win the Royal Rumble. It would have been controversial and surprising at his age which is a good thing. I have always enjoyed seeing Lawler in the ring and never thought the WWE used him right. I actually like the interview he did in the clip here, because he was playing the “heel” character. Lawler’s greatest moments have always been as a heel. I personally think the WWE ought to turn the King heel again. Since he holds the record for the most title wins ever and the WWE has mentioned that in the past, I would run a storyline where he pulls an upset and wins perhaps the tag titles or the US Belts (most fans don’t care about those titles anyway) for a day or two and lets it go to his head and turns him heel again or have pursue one final title because the WWE is the only place he hasn’t won one.
