WWE Superstars from Jan. 13, 2012, kicks off with Wade Barrett vs. Yoshi Tatsu, a nothing match, really, designed to get Barrett a quick win.
More importantly, Matt Striker announced before the match that for the first time ever, every single member of the WWE roster will be eligible to compete in the Royal Rumble. Obviously, this is their way of making sure to get in as many matches as possible on the card while making sure the Rumble match doesn't lose any depth.
In other action on Superstars, the floundering Michael McGillicutty jobs to Evan Bourne while the main event features the Bella twins using the old double switch to pick up a win over Kelly Kelly.
