AWE 'Night of Legends' poster featuring Kevin Nash, his potential future with WWE

The Awesome Wrestling Entertainment (AWE) Night of Legends show will be broadcast on In Demand pay-per-view on Sat., Oct. 15, 2011, at 9 p.m. ET. Kevin Nash is still scheduled to main event the show with a mystery partner against The Rock-N-Roll Express. Among the other legends scheduled to appear that night are Diamond Dallas Page, Tommy Dreamer, Terry Funk, Perry Saturn, Tammy Sytch (better known as Sunny), Lita and many more.

As for what the future holds for Nash in WWE, Dave Meltzer revealed potential plans in the lastest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required):

At one point this past week the Vengeance main event idea was Cena vs. Punk vs. Del Rio vs. Nash. That means it doesn't matter who wins in Hell in a Cell since all would be in the main event spot for the next show. Not that it won't change three times between now and the weekend. On one hand, Nash in a match going for the title doesn't fit the role. But it's smart, because if you are going to put Nash in the ring, it's better in a four-way match where he can be hidden and just do a few spots, than in a main event singles match. There is a good chance this will change anyway.

It would definitely make sense to protect Nash by putting him in a match that he wouldn't have to carry with younger, more able talents that could take care of all the heavy lifting but having him involved in a WWE championship match in the year 2011 would be a special kind of messed up.

We won't know until he comes back, whenever that may be.

Yeah, it’s crazy. Glad he’s doing well though.

For those who don’t know – Bill Apter annoys the living hell out of me but here’s an interview he did where Saturn covers what he’s been through: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zChsn8__kRI
