Smackdown ratings for this past Friday night (Sept. 16), which was the go-home show to Night of Champions and was "Edge Appreciation Night," were a 1.78 with 2.61 million viewers, according to PWTorch. This was down from last week's show, which reached 2.91 million viewers. Does this mean the Edge nostalgia act is already dead?

Probably.

Edge has moved on and so has fans, though if he was wrestling, I think things would be different. This also indicates that Edge isn’t on the same level as other past superstars who have hosted the show. WWE should just keep it movin’.
