On this date in WWF history: KroniK makes its ill-fated debut on RAW

On September 10, 2001, Brian Adams and Bryan Clark made their WWF return as KroniK, stooges of Stevie Richards enlisted to seek revenge upon the Undertaker for his role in disbanding the Right to Censor (RTC).

Adams had a previous run with the boys in Stamford under the name "Crush," the unsightly sidecar attached to the "Demolition" motorcycle. Heinous gimmick, but one that pales in comparison to "Adam Bomb," Clark's ridiculous role as a survivor of Three Mile Island.

Unfortunately for them, 'Taker is not the kind of guy you want to be mailing it in against, as his locker room standing can mean certain doom for anyone not bringing their A-game.

KroniK would face Undertaker and Kane, known as "The Brothers of Destruction," at the Unforgiven pay-per-view shortly thereafter. Their performance was so putrid, they were disbanded, sent down to developmental territories and subsequently released.

How about it Cagesiders, worst tag team ever? Or simply misunderstood?

I liked Bryan Clark as Wrath and Adam Bomb. Kronik was WCW’s Acolytes. Of course Russo just tried to copy a WWF creation. They made the mistake of thinking they were going to beat people up like the Acolytes were allowed to and that doesn’t fly in the WWF. They sold like crap in that tag with Taker and Kane. Bryan Clark I’ve always thought had potential just couldn’t talk to save his life.

I remember Kronik in WCW but don’t in WWF/E for some reason

Totally misunderstood.

Check out the work and heat in that vid. It was awesome and fans marked out.

Adam Bomb had a freaky body. HUGE shoulders and arms and the rest not so huge.

Just like Nash & Steiner. They have to wear long pants… they have no legs… they focus their roids on nothing but bench presses.

I don't know if the E or Kronik is to blame

But that team should’ve given Vince wet dreams.

Release...the KITTIES!

Adam Bomb was my favorite wrestler when I was like 7

The Disciples of Apocalypse were my favorite group when I was like 12. Ironic.

Thought Bryan Clark got a raw deal.

Triple H buries him in his workout book. The man had frightfully bad gimmicks. Youtube Nightstalker if you don’t believe me. And he had the first powerbomb in WWE. Adam Smasher.

When I saw him in WCW years later, I was a fan. I was obsessed with the Death Penalty. Far far superior to the Rock Bottom. Terrible gimmick. Who thought Mortal Kombat ripoff would get over? That’s like putting your kid in front of AVH on syfy and telling him it’s just as good as AVP.

Okay, they’re both crap.

Meltdown was the FIRST pumphandle powerslam. He was getting over in WCW…..before Kevin Nash. Then he’s jobbing to Bam Bam and Disco Inferno.

NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO JOB TO DISCO….EVER.

Bryan Clark could fly, and had some ability. Bryan Adams….didn’t.

Don’t believe me? Watch his Demolition promos. Hell, watch ANY of his promos. Then watch him piledrive someone.

Tag Teams are usually great because they have men of equal ability, who complement each other. The best teams were capable entities who fit together.

So no, Kronik didn’t work. Clark was far superior to Adams. Check out the Wrath/Mortis combo from 1997, then compare them to Kronik.

Here’s some more tag teams worse than Kronik:

Gymini

McGillicutty/Otunga
(Otunga has no business being anywhere near a ring. Seriously, he’s worse than Paul Roma. Yeah, I said it.)

Highlanders
All 800 incarnations of Harris Twins
Ding Dongs
The Johnsons
The Dicks
Well Dunn
Thunder and Lightning
Los Boriquas
The Truth Comission
The New Midnight Express
Too Much

Tag Teams who got Short Changed:

The Naturals
Doug Furnas & Phil LaFon (WWE hates Strong Style!)
Nova and Chetti
Eliminators. Not a fargin mention on the DVD. WHY?
